The Saskatoon SPCA
We at Cliptomania have decided to pool all our fundraising efforts into one organization year-round, and we chose a cause near and dear to our hearts; the Saskatoon SPCA. We have four ways in which we will be collecting money/donations for the SPCA;
1) 25% of all purchases of Unite Doggy’Poo Dog Shampoo will be donated to the SPCA.
2) We are instituting a new policy called “Pay to be late”. From now on, anyone that is late for their appointment must pay .50¢ for every minute that they are late. Don’t worry, we are also implementing this rule for ourselves, only we will be donating $1 for every minute we are late. So now, whenever someone is late, a puppy or kitten gets help, who can be mad at that?
3) We are also collecting monetary (cash or card) donations here at the shop. Any donation of $1 or more will get you entered into our monthly draw. Each month we will announce a new prize that you can enter to win!
4) And lastly, if you have any physical donations that you’d like to donate but can’t make it out to the SPCA, you can drop them off here and we'll make sure they get to the SPCA and into the paws of some very deserving animals.
Bi-Annual Clothing Swaps
Twice a year we host a clothing swap open to all members of the community. We do this for several reasons, the first is that it's a way for everyone to get access to clothing without breaking the bank. The second reason is that it’s an opportunity to refresh wardrobes without adding to the mass amounts of over-consumption in the fashion industry. Reduce, reuse, recycle also applies to clothes!. Third, this event is used as a clothing drive for various organizations throughout the city, such as Dress for Success Saskatoon. If you are involved with a local non-profit and are looking for clothing donations, please contact us. Lastly, we charge a small entrance fee for this event as a way to collect funds that are directly donated to Dress for Success Saskatoon, an amazing local non-profit that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
We are also a drop off center for Dress for Success! If in between clothing swaps you are looking to get rid of any lightly used work wear, you can drop it off at the salon during shop hours. Side note: Please only bring in items that are lightly used, no torn/ripped up/stained clothes that you would otherwise throw out. Make sure you wash the items before you bring them, especially if you have pets and/or smoke. Also, no used underpants, ever.
If you have any questions, ask Zelda, by either phoning the shop at 306-668-6611 or by email at email@example.com
